Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

Educational Background:
 
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. A master’s degree may be preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

•  Experience in design of mechanical systems such as HVAC systems, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems, ensuring they meet project specifications, performance criteria, and industry standards.
• Apply advanced mechanical engineering principles and techniques to develop innovative and efficient designs.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed design documentation, technical reports, and project updates.
• Incorporate safety and reliability into all designs, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, designers, and technicians, providing technical guidance and adding to their professional development.
• Propose and implement value engineering solutions to optimize mechanical design performance while minimizing costs.

Work Experience Requirements:
 

• 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• In-depth understanding of ASME, NFPA, ASHRAE, IECC, UMC, NEC, and local building codes.
• Experience in liaising with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

 Skills Requirements:
 

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Time Management and Deadline Adherence capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple mechanical design projects.
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving.
• Computer skills with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, Elite and ANSYS.
